Barton Christmas Festival

Visitors to Barton upon Humber’s Christmas Festival on Saturday (Nov 24) will see the results of the half-term lantern making activities organised by ST-ART. This year’s theme was the Circus so expect plenty to see plenty of animals wending their way from The Ropewalk through the town centre in readiness for the switching on of the Christmas lights.

The parade begins from The Ropewalk at 5pm and travels along Maltkiln Road, Waterside Road, Fleetgate and High Street before ending near High Street’s junction with Queen Street.

A rtists Annie Thwaites, Kirsty Champ, Janine Knight and Michael and Helen Scrimshaw were all on hand to guide the young people through the intricacies of making circus-themed lanterns.
