Welcome to ST-ART
ST-ART offers a range of art activities for young people taking place during school holidays and after school. Aiming to develop creativity and channel young imaginations. ST-ART works with young people up to 16 years but primarily within the seven to 13 years age range.
Art club at The Ropewalk
For the last 10 weeks on Wednesday evenings the young people have been creating art works for an exhibition in Gallery One at The Ropewalk. The theme is the Lincolnshire Landscape and the exhibition will include both 2D and 3D work. The exhibition opens on Saturday 8th September.
The Wednesday night art club will break for the summer on the 18th July and will start back again on the
5th September 2018 6:30 – 8:30pm.

Build a Bird Box
You will be given guidance and supervision to build this Bird Box using woodwork techniques.

Make a Hedgehog House
Design and make your Hedgehog House and feeding station from a plastic box and use woodwork techniques to make your own hedgehog home sign.

Make a Bug House
Using some recycled and some found materials create these amazing houses for bugs. Bugs are really important in the garden and need a special place to hang out. This workshop includes a walk to collect bug house materials so please wear suitable clothes.
Arts Award Explore in a week for young people aged 7 – 11 years
Monday 13th – Friday 17th August 10 – 3pm £50
Join our trained Arts Award Advisor and specialist artists in this week of creative activity focussed on wildlife on your doorstep. Build a home for bees and learn about bee friendly planting and how to attract them into your garden. We will also be making bird feeders and learning how to create habitats that attract different kinds of wildlife. Find out about The Ropewalk as an organisation and record all your work in a portfolio to receive your Arts Award certificate from Trinity College London in association with Arts Council England.
Children must attend for the full week and bring a packed lunch with them.

Make your own Apron
Whether it’s for cooking, gardening or more of a utility apron, sew this apron with pockets in your own style.

Baking day – FULL
Create a selection of baked goods from cakes and muffins to cookies and tray bakes, enough for a family afternoon tea! (Please bring a large container to take home your baking!)

Large canvas painting
Create a stylised print in your own design using paint and collage techniques.
Thursday 23rd August 10 – 3pm 12 – 16 yr olds £5
Make your own Stylish lampshade, perfect as a bedside light or to brighten any dark corner.
Friday 24th August 10 – 3pm 12 – 16 yr olds £5
Wooden Trinket Boxes
Build this small box using woodwork techniques for keeping jewellery or important collectables inside. Paint the box with your own design.
